Hi, I wanted to try VAPs again. I do not like the Victory inserts so I went to Firenock. I followed the instructions on the Firenock website. I made sure that the insert end was trued. I then cleaned the shaft with de-natured alcohol. I mixed the epoxy(I even got the same epoxy that Firenock recommended) and put a small amount on the end of the shaft. Installed the insert and spun it on the shaft to spread the epoxy evenly. Stood them on end for 24 hours. So, I go to the range to fire these arrows. They are flying well and I am liking them. I shoot into carpet bales. After a couple of ends I pull one of the arrows out and the insert and fieldpoint remain in the target. So I assume that I failed to put epoxy on the shaft when assembling. Then, six of eight had the same thing happen over the next several ends. I am fairly certain the eventually they would all fail in this manner. Thanks!
